Henry Y. Zhang is an artist, exhibition engineer, and museum specialist whose work integrates paleontological reconstruction, engineering, museum exhibition environments, and public art.
With more than a decade of experience in scientific reconstruction and museum development, he has established himself as one of China’s leading professionals in transforming scientific discoveries into immersive museum experiences.

In 2022, he was named a Municipal Representative Inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage (Forged Copper Craftsmanship), and in 2023 was recognized among Binzhou’s Top Ten Modern Service Professionals for his contributions to museum art and cultural innovation.

As Engineering Director, Henry oversees the complete realization of museum projects—from scientific reconstruction and engineering design to fabrication, structural installation, and exhibition delivery. His expertise spans museum exhibition environments, large-scale paleontological reconstructions, sculptural engineering, architectural fabrication, and public art installations, ensuring every project achieves the highest standards of scientific accuracy, engineering precision, and artistic excellence.

Throughout his career, Henry has led or contributed to the development of more than 360 museums, science centers, and cultural institutions across China. His portfolio includes landmark projects for the Zhejiang Natural History Museum, Capital Museum, Shandong Museum, the China Paleozoological Museum (Baoding Natural History Museum), and many other nationally significant museums. More recently, he has also contributed to the scientific reconstruction and replica fabrication for the newly opened Shenzhen Natural History Museum, one of China’s flagship next-generation natural history museums.

In 2024, Henry, together with Dr. Paul Rummy and Chung-Tat Cheung, collaborated with renowned paleontologist Academician Xu Xing on the scientific reconstruction of Anchiornis. The reconstruction was selected as a National Gift of China for the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, symbolizing the international influence of Chinese paleontological research, scientific reconstruction, and museum craftsmanship.

As Co-Founder and Engineering Director of Deep Time Stories, Henry leads the company’s engineering, fabrication, and museum production divisions. By integrating advanced manufacturing technologies with traditional craftsmanship and close scientific collaboration, he transforms fossil discoveries into museum-grade reconstructions and immersive exhibition experiences. His vision ensures that every project embodies the company’s core philosophy—where science, engineering, and art converge to bring Earth’s deep past to life.
